Let’s face it: Clip-on sunglasses have a bad reputation for good reason. They never seem to cover your eyeglasses properly, for instance, and they tend to be bulky. Hobie, the company that has transformed kayaking and other watertoy pursuits, is about to do the same for polarized lens wearers. Its Hobie Eyewear division has a line of polarized clip-ons that it promises align correctly every time. Additionally, it says they don’t stick out like a sore thumb.
The Hobie Eyewear Duo Collection employs some pretty clever ways to guarantee these. Firstly, the lenses clip on magnetically. This allows them to fit fully over the prescription lenses time and time again, plus remove in seconds flat. The magnets are made for the frames, too. You can fill your eyeglass prescription through the Hobie Eyewear portal, or buy frames you like and take them to your own doctor to fit your lenses inside. Either way, an assortment of colors are available, at reasonable prices as well.
You can learn more about the Hobie Eyewear Duo Collection in the September edition of the Megayacht News newsletter.
