Escapade Yacht Concept Has a Duplex Beach Club & Pools, Pools, Pools

How would you like not just pools to soak in, but also a calming reflecting pool onboard your yacht? Gill Schmid Design has come up with the Escapade yacht concept, with Dӧrries Yachts as the builder. Upon contract, the 239-footer (73-meter) can be in your hands in three years’ time.

Purposely for owners who aren’t satisfied with traditional design, the Escapade yacht concept has several distinctive areas. The beach club is among them. In fact, it takes a new approach to the multi-level, entirely alfresco beach clubs many designers and builders currently are offering. Alastair Gill and Veronika Schmid, the co-founders of the design studio, propose a duplex containing a glass-bottom pool on the upper level. A wide, grand stairway leads guests down to the lower level. Down here, you and your guests can enjoy a reflecting pool and sand “beaches,” where loose lounges can sit. The lower level further has fold-down platforms on three sides. This makes it accessible from arriving tenders or for swimmers off the swim platform.

For an even more striking ambience, skylights run the full length of the large main-deck pool. Plus, each of the six guest staterooms has direct access to one of the duplex decks. Specifically, four suites lead out to the lower level, while two larger ones connect to an indoor-outdoor pool lounge.

The Escapade yacht concept has yet another pool for everyone to enjoy. This one sits on the foredeck, flanked by lounges and a firepit with sunken seating.

For your benefit, the master suite sits forward and full beam (41 feet/12.5 meters) on the main deck. You get a private lounge, too.

More lounges, of course, area aboard, including a cigar lounge on the bridge deck. It’s adjacent to formal dining inside, and both have slide-open, full-height glass. Alfresco dining waits farther aft. Conveniently, the galley is on this deck, too.
