The early summer of 2024 will see this fast-cruising superyacht sloop set off on her maiden voyage. The hull turning of the still somewhat confidential Vitters yacht project 3093 occurred earlier today. It’s the first time any part of her has appeared outside the build shed.
Featuring all-aluminum construction, one of the most noteworthy styling features of the yacht is yet to go onboard. She’ll have a contemporary-looking superstructure with significant amounts of glass. In working with Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design, the owner wanted to ensure that he and his guests can enjoy all-around views regardless of where they’re sitting inside. It further amplifies the sense of volume.
Within that interior, Design Unlimited and the TK Interiors studio are creating an equally contemporary ambience. Unfortunately, no further details are available about the décor. Nor is information available about the number of staterooms or the crew-to-guest ratio. However, some previously disclosed information does seem to hint that the Vitters yacht project 3093 (her hull number) will pursue pleasure cruises and not racing—or pleasure cruises much more than racing. Out on the top of her superstructure, for instance, seating areas for the full owner’s party complement a large sunpad.
Some new information from Vitters seems to confirm the pleasure use, too. Friends and family will enjoy alfresco meals throughout the day in the ample, covered cockpit. It allows enjoying the fresh air while sheltered from sun. And finally, the sailing superyacht’s transom will lend itself well to becoming a beach club.
Of course, the project has some further interesting technical features. Firstly, she will incorporate two submarine anchor systems. Submarine anchors are especially popular for narrow hulls like those of sailing yachts, since they deploy underwater. Therefore, they preserve an uncluttered look. Additionally, a battery bank will help shave off load from the gensets.
Anticipate sea trials occurring next spring, soon after launch takes place.
