The ninth build from Turquoise Yachts and H2 Yacht Design, Project Vento is embarking on her outfitting stage. Her bare steel hull and aluminum superstructure made their way via floating dock from one of Turquoise’s facilities to the other in late August.
At 285 feet (87 meters), the megayacht is the largest contract in the shipyard’s 17-year history. She bears styling by H2 Yacht Design, which is gracing her with a classically flared bow. She has sporty appeal, too, thanks to angled grills combining with long, flowing curves on her superstructure.
The size of the yacht Project Vento means she’ll have an abundance of ample areas. Arguably one area that guests will enjoy the most is the infinity pool on the main deck. It’s 21 feet (6.5 meters) in length, further including glass insets in its floor. These serve as skylights into the beach club, certainly a special effect. Yet another skylight tops an open spiral stairway connecting the interior decks.
Although neither H2 Yacht Design nor Turquoise Yachts has disclosed the number of staterooms, all guests have accommodations on the main deck. (That puts them in proximity to the pool, nicely.) The owners, meanwhile, have a private oasis one deck above the main deck. They’ll all arrive in style to Project Vento, since she has a drive-in tender garage connected to the beach club. According to the build and design teams, the beach club rivals one aboard a 330-foot-plus (100-meter-plus) megayacht.
The fun factor onboard should rival that of many yachts regardless of LOA. The helipad (touch-and-go operations only) does double duty as a basketball court, for example. Midnight movies will be shown on the sundeck, which also has a big bar and cooking area.
As mentioned, Turquoise and H2 Yacht Design have collaborated on multiple prior projects. “We are still working with the same team of engineers and the designers, which guarantees a consistent level of excellence and reliability acquired over the many projects we have delivered together,” says Jonny Horsfield, H2 Yacht Design’s founder.
The yacht Project Vento remains on schedule for launch in 2024.
