Espen Øino has earned renown for his superyacht designs, collaborating with builders ranging from Amels to Silver Yachts. Now, he’s designing something else that supports comfortable living at sea: furnishings for your yacht. He’s created a new collection for Paola Lenti.
The collection made its debut at the just-concluded Monaco Yacht Show, where loyal customers of the furnishings company and aficionados of the renowned designer previewed the range of offerings. The pieces include the colorful Capri deck chairs, which invite you to stretch out on deck (where else?) and relax. In recognition of how space is always at a premium aboard yachts, each folds up compactly. Guests additionally saw the Elanto platform, pictured here. It’s circular on purpose, to let you and your guests move as needed as the sun moves across the horizon, without re-arranging the deck furniture.
As is the case with all Paola Lenti furnishings, the Espen Øino collection is practical for the marine environment. Recycled and recylable materials are prioritized, too.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the designer has collaborated on a non-yacht project. In fact, several years ago, he created a watch with Scalfaro, the Switzerland-based manufacturer of fine timepieces.
