Baglietto has a new U.S. representative, based in Fort Lauderdale. Tomasso Bilotta, with strong experience working with Italian yards and American clients, is the liaison for stateside customers and brokers.
Bilotta began his yachting career nearly 20 years ago in Italy, where he grew up, working with Riva. Later, he joined Benetti, first in Italy and then in the Benetti Americas office in Fort Lauderdale. Additionally, Bilotta was a sales broker with Camper & Nicholsons in South Florida. He therefore gaining a keener understanding of the need to guide customers through a variety of decisions.
Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto’s CCO, actually worked with Bilotta in the past, since both were at Benetti simultaneously. “I can testify to his wonderful professional and, above all, human qualities,” Ermetto asserts. “His broad sales experience will hugely help us achieve an increasingly far-reaching presence across the North and South American markets.”

Already, Baglietto has forged relationships with American customers, such as the owners of the yacht Enterprise (above). In fact, Baglietto’s desire to strengthen relationships stateside was one of the deciding factors for the owners. The Baglietto T52 series ticks the right boxes for Americans, too. “I think U.S. owners like especially the amazing volumes and unique spaces of this yacht that hardly find competitors in the market,” Ermetto says. “The layout is also extremely popular with the American customer because it is well suited to the typical use in this market.”
Bilotta, meanwhile, sees further reasons that U.S. customers will appreciate what Baglietto offers. He cites the “cohesive and passionate team,” along with this year being the yard’s 170th anniversary. “I am sure that my extensive knowledge of the American yachting industry and its peculiarities will significantly contribute to boosting and strengthening the Baglietto brand,” he says.
