It’s about 10:30 p.m. in Monaco, and I’m keeping jetlag at bay just long enough to give you the quick update from today. After my Power & Motoryacht colleagues and I set up our stand (we’re in the Darse Sud tent if you’ll be at the show, so come on by), we headed to the party thrown by Dockwise Yacht Transport to celebrate the arrival of its largest transport ship to date, accompanied by fireworks over the vessel sitting in the harbor…
Except the ship is still in China.
Anyone who’s ever experienced a delay over a new-build project (which means essentially everyone in the yacht business) can understand the situation. Dockwise says sea trials are still underway but that it expects the transport vessel to arrive in the Med soon.
And speaking of soon, if I keep typing, I fear I’ll fall asleep on the keyboard, so I bid you all a bonne nuit (good night, in French).
