She’s known only as Hull 458 so far, and her asking price is being released only upon request. But if you’re in the market for a new megayacht, this Limited Editions Amels 177 could be yours.
The owner who commissioned Hull 458 from Amels has granted the central listing to YPI Brokerage, the sales and new construction division of Yachting Partners International. Hull 458 is scheduled for delivery next April, so construction and interior design are well underway.
We’ll have to take his word for it for now, but Will Allen, a broker with YPI, says that the sundeck is “absolutely breathtaking and close to peerless.” (Illustrations other than cruising images like the one above are embargoed for release for the present time, so no close-ups are available.) He explains that the hot tub is akin to a pool due to its size, and there’s still plenty of room for a bar, dining, and sunbathing. The installation of an entertainment center in the supports for the hardtop and mast lead me to believe that there’s more than just music that can enjoyed—maybe midnight movies on the top deck?
The 9-meter (29-foot) beam should ensure the six staterooms and various gathering spaces are comfortable. One area guests are sure to enjoy: the “beach club” at the transom, illustrated below, measuring 30 square meters (about 323 square feet). They can board or disembark the superyacht’s toys and tenders here, too, which are launched via an integrated hydraulic crane. The one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio should translate to personalized attention whether everyone’s at play here or relaxing onboard.
Amels anticipates that Hull 458 will see a 13-knot cruise and a 15½-knot top speed, powered by twin MTU 2000 M70 diesels. Range at cruise speed should be 4,500 nautical miles, bringing transatlantic trips into consideration.
