The organizers of the Monaco Yacht Show, the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, The Superyacht Cup, and other high-end, high-interest yacht events are staging the first-ever superyacht show on the Asian continent.
The Singapore Yacht Show, to be held April 8 to 10 at ONE°15 Marina Club (above) in Sentosa Cove, will be an invitation-only event, targeting ultra-high-net-worth consumers. It’s being organized by Informa Yacht Group.
In a statement, Andy Treadwell, the managing director of Informa Yacht Group, states, “We are convinced that the market for superyachts in Asia could develop considerably over the next few years, and we want to play our part in driving that development. Singapore is a highly strategic and influential business centre in the very heart of Asia, providing a perfect venue for the show and a first-class hub for the future of the large-yacht industry in this region.”
Seventy exhibitors and 20 megayachts are reportedly confirmed thus far, with builders, designers, brokers, and charter brokers among those expected to have displays. The ONE°15 Marina Club has plenty of room: 270 berths (10 being Med-moor style), plus a handful of ballrooms, restaurants, and suites for rent. Last year, it hosted a stopover of the Volvo Ocean Race, the first ever in southeast Asia. It’s further situated within a 10-minute drive to the city center.
