The megayacht launches continue at Benetti, with Option B being the latest one to hit the water. This comes within a month of two other Benettis, a Classic Supreme 132 and a Delfino 93.
Launched on May 16, Option B is in the Benetti Classic 121 series. Styling is from longtime Benetti collaborator Stefano Righini, while interior design is from Zuretti Design. The all-fiberglass megayacht has a 26’1” (8.18-meter) beam and a 7’4” (2.26-meter) draft, making her suitable for pulling into marinas or dropping anchor in most areas worldwide. Hopefully the owner, who was present at the launch, will put her 3,400-nautical-mile range (at 12 knots, just below best cruise) to good use. Power is supplied by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 diesels, which should further allow a 15-knot top end.
Ten people in the owner’s party and seven crewmembers are accommodated onboard Option B. The general arrangement is pretty traditional, with a main-deck owner’s suite and four guest staterooms below decks. Crew are housed forward of the guests, though the captain has a cabin just aft of the wheelhouse. Formal dining can take place forward of the saloon, and two additional dining areas are outside: one on the flying bridge, and one on the sundeck, which is the uppermost level.
Sea trials and general systems’ testing will continue for the next few weeks, before Option B, classed to ABS, is delivered.
