Buyers of megayachts exceeding 300 feet LOA aren’t exactly looking for something subtle. So why not draw inspiration from an equally provocative and energetic source—say, the hopping nightlife scene of Ibiza, Spain? That’s what Andrew Winch Designs has done with 1 Hundred, the concept design shown here.
The 328-foot (100-meter) 1 Hundred is meant to appeal to megayacht owners who enjoy hosting big bashes, particularly in the Med. While the design team started with the idea of Ibiza, it’s easily to image 1 Hundred situated stern-to at the Monaco Grand Prix, sitting at anchor during the Cannes Film Festival, and more. If she does lie at anchor, getting guests out there won’t be a problem, thanks to a helipad on her foredeck and the typical fleet of tenders.
When guests do board, as much as the extra-large lounge and bar inside the megayacht’s main deck will handily accommodate them, they’ll probably have a hard time tearing themselves away from 1 Hundred’s alfresco area aft, particularly at night. That’s because Andrew Winch Designs has placed a 26-foot-long (8-meter-long) pool here, which can be covered by a stage for a band. What if guests aren’t on the main aft deck? Not a problem. A terrific sound system aboard 1 Hundred will pump the music throughout each level, even up to the sundeck. Guests gathered there will have the additional entertainment advantage of light displays coordinated to the beat.
For early and late risers alike the day after a big bash, Andrew Winch Designs has included a beach club and spa. Soak in the sauna, relax in the hammam, get a rubdown in the massage room. Of course, if yet another soiree follows that night or that week, there’s no need to head ashore for primping: 1 Hundred includes a hair salon.
As much as the megayacht caters to guests (and gives the crew dedicated access to every deck for proper service), the owner is king aboard 1 Hundred. It encompasses two levels, with the uppermost one featuring a private deck with hot tub. The interior of the suite is crowned by a glass ceiling.
Andrew Winch Designs has a remarkable knack for its initial designs to look nearly exactly like the finished megayachts themselves. To obtain more details about 1 Hundred, visit the company website or fill out our contact form.
