DYT Yacht Transport is solidifying its relationship with Sevenstar Yacht Transport with the appointment of Sevenstar Yacht Transport-Australia as its agent Down Under.
In October, Sevenstar Yacht Transport acquired DYT Yacht Transport (also known as Dockwise Yacht Transport) for $40 million. DYT Yacht Transport had just been acquired by another company in March, but that firm ultimately decided that DYT did not add to its core business focus.
Under the new agreement, DYT Yacht Transport will have access to Sevenstar Yacht Transport-Australia’s team in Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, Newcastle, Port Kembla, and Sydney. In turn, yacht and megayacht owners and captains whose vessels are carried aboard DYT Yacht Transport ships have access to the same regional representatives.
The DYT Yacht Transport carrier Super Servant is the first to take advantage of the agreement. In fact, Super Servant is currently making pick-up and drop-off stops that will culminate in Brisbane in January. The same carrier will then return to the Med, again stopping in Brisbane along the way, to take yachts and megayachts there for the sprint and summer seasons in the Northern Hemisphere.
DYT Yacht Transport continues to own and maintain the world’s only fleet of float-on, float-off yacht carriers. Since it was founded in 1987 in Fort Lauderdale, DYT Yacht Transport has carried more than 13,000 power and sailing yachts and superyachts. Transatlantic journeys were a primary request at first, with farther-flung regions added over the years. Sevenstar Yacht Transport, founded in 1996 in Amsterdam, employs lift-on, lift-off yacht carriers, a fleet exceeding 120 independently owned ships. Initially it focused on the northern European market. In 1999, however, it began expanding its global reach.
