You’ve heard of Ocean’s 11. Now meet Ocean’s Four.
Ocean’s Four is the latest launch at Sanlorenzo, and the third in its 460EXP long-range motoryacht series.
Styled like an expedition yacht, Ocean’s Four has the same house-forward look as her predecessors, X and Moka. (X saw delivery last year, while Moka’s owners took their first cruise aboard in 2015.) That styling comes from Francesco Paszkowski Design. If you compare the three megayachts in profile, though, you’ll see a difference along the main and upper decks. The owners of Ocean’s Four benefit from better views, due to lower bulwarks. In fact, the upper deck’s bulwark has a cut-out section, something not seen on either Moka or X.
A total party of 10 will cruise aboard Ocean’s Four, measuring 138’5” (42.2 meters). (The 460EXP series gets its name from its volume, which is 460 gross tons.) The yacht has five total staterooms, plus cabins for seven crewmembers. Beam is 30 feet (9.2 meters), making areas from below decks to the sundeck feel capacious. The owners worked with New York-based Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for the interior design. Sanlorenzo says the studio strove to replicate the naval architecture throughout the spaces. This even extends to the master suite, where the designers preserved the outer shapes of the yacht’s structure while maximizing the views of the surrounding scenery from the bed.
While the shipyard has not said what toys will be aboard, the owners will keep them on the aft deck. Sanlorenzo and Francesco Paszkowski purposely chose the house-forward look to create vast stowage space here, plus to lend go-anywhere appeal.
That appeal gets translated into performance, too. Come delivery, Ocean’s Four should see a 4,000-nautical-mile range at an 11-knot cruise. This is based on the same Caterpillar power and displacement-hull configuration of the previous deliveries. The steel-hulled megayacht should also top out at 15 knots. Draft is still shallow-water friendly, though, at 8 feet (2.45 meters).
Delivery should occur by summertime. In the meantime, Sanlorenzo has additional 460EXP projects in build, for delivery through 2018.
