Several brands in the Ferretti Goup offer megayachts at or over the 100-foot mark. Ferretti Yachts is joining them. At just shy of 99 feet (30.13 meters), the Ferretti 1000 becomes its largest current model. Additionally, the flying-bridge yacht offers two interior design choices, still with plenty of chances for personalization.
Besides being the biggest boat in the lineup, the Ferretti 1000 is the builder’s first wide-body design. Therefore, the main-deck spaces, from the saloon through to the master stateroom, span the 22’3” (6.81-meter) beam. The Ferretti Group’s own design and engineering departments joined forces with Filippo Salvetti for the external looks and naval architecture. Expect similar silhouettes to begin characterizing the rest of the Ferretti Group models coming down the pike, too.
A primary focus of their efforts was maximizing external usable space. One example is the main aft deck, which, combined with the swim platform, provides 431 square feet (40 square meters) of relaxation. You can augment the alfresco dining area with freestanding furniture. Also note that the dining table lowers to become a coffee table. For stylistic flair, the Ferretti 1000 further has a glass and steel handrail rimming the area.
The swim platform, meanwhile, is not just a platform. The Ferretti Group’s internal team designed it so that three steps to each side automatically deploy as the platform lowers. The Group patented the design, too. It’s helpful for swimmers, of course, or for guests who want to use the SeaBobs that you can stow in the tender garage. The tender garage also holds a Williams SportJet 445 RIB and a PWC.
A first-time collaboration between Ferretti Yachts and IdeaItalia leads to the Ferretti 1000 having two interior design schemes. From the saloon to the four guest staterooms below decks, the Classic decor (middle image) makes use of soft, subdued tones. Meanwhile, the Contemporary decor (immediately above) adds in some more striking colors, plus reflects more urban design details. Either way, multiple woods take center stage. Also either way, you can request sliding glass doors on both sides of the saloon.
Regardless of decor package, the Ferretti 1000 comes with a clever galley feature. The 108-square-foot (10-square-meter) space, on the main deck, has an electrically opening aft wall. This reveals a bar, which faces the dining area and eliminates visual barriers all the way into the galley.
Whether you use the yacht for your family or for charter, you’ll appreciate the traditional Ferretti Yachts emphasis on speed. This flying-bridge yacht should see a 28-knot top speed under MTU 16V2000 M96L engines. Alternately, another MTU package promises a 24-knot top end. Yet another option: a combination of gyroscopic and fin stabilization systems.
