Up to 16 people in the owners’ party will begin enjoying the cruising life aboard this megayacht in several weeks. Meet Feadship Project 816, whose name remains confidential still at this point.
The build team towed the yacht, which measures 289’10” (88.38 meters), out from her construction shed at the Feadship Amsterdam facility over the weekend.
A combination of Dutch and Italian design teams are behind her looks. Specifically, Feadship’s Studio De Voogt provided naval architecture and styling. Note especially her vertical bow and how her lines lend her a long, lean look. Interior design, meanwhile, comes from two Italian studios, Nauta Design and FM Architettura. They addressed both the relaxation and entertainment areas for the owners’ party as well as the accommodations for the 25-strong crew.
The shipyard pledges to reveal her real name following an official launch ceremony early next year.
In the meantime, and on a related note, Feadship Project 816 was the first contract to take advantage of the Feadship Amsterdam facility when it opened in 2019. In fact, the megayacht was inside during the official opening ceremony, attended by Queen Maxima of The Netherlands. Overall, the Feadship Amsterdam site can handle builds of up to 525 feet (160 meters) in length, purposely to target the upper end of the market.
