The Truly Classic 128 series from Hoek Design has seen some impressive sailing-superyacht deliveries so far. The latest is Grace III, whose owner is sharing her with visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show this coming week.
The Truly Classic 128 series already includes Atalante, Vijonara, and Halekia. “Classic” means her time-honored hull shape and styling. While each yacht in the series is 128 feet (39.34 meters), owners can still tailor the deck plan as well as the interior.
The owners of Grace III took advantage of this in a few ways. Having owned a few yachts previously, the husband was quite involved in all design decisions. These include areas on deck as well as inside. Built at SES Yachts in Istanbul, Grace III has a working cockpit as well as a guest cockpit. The guest cockpit includes a dining table to seat 12. Since children are guests aboard, this same cockpit keeps them safe when the crew needs to handle lines and such.
Inside, meanwhile, the 25-foot (7.72-meter) beam lends a nice feel to the relaxation areas. So does the single main deckhouse, creating an airy sensation. The owners requested an aft master suite and three guest staterooms. They further requested that one of the two crew cabins convert for guest use while Grace III charters. From the saloon to the staterooms, the design is decidedly classic—fitting for a Truly Classic 128. YM Design of London and the owners closely collaborated on the warm, traditional ambience. Mahogany paneling pairs with off-white deckheads and bulkheads as well as oak soles.
Enjoy the virtual tour, and of course a personal tour if you attend the Monaco show.
