UPDATE, MAY 16, 2022: Rio is in her owner’s hands, preparing for her maiden cruise in the Med. Select charter dates will be available over the coming season, via TWW Yachts. You can also expect to see her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
UPDATE, MARCH 17, 2022: The CRN Rio has completed her first set of sea trials, confirming her 15-knot top speed and 12-knot cruise. Read on for our original article.

A 203-footer (62-meter) that CRN first revealed it was building nearly four years ago to the day is in the water. The CRN Rio, a.k.a. CRN 138, received quite the reception during the private ceremonial launch.
With curvy, sporty styling, the superyacht features exterior design by the Dutch studio Omega Architects. Additionally, the megayacht has large cutouts aft to each side of her main deck, along with a nearly plumb bow. All of these came in consultation with the owner, since Rio is a fully custom aluminum and steel project.
Amid the 36’7” (11.2-meter) beam, many more custom requests cater to the owner and guests. For example, you might expect to find the master suite forward on the main deck. You’ll certainly find a stateroom here—not the master, however. Rather, the master is within a dedicated owner’s deck, one level up. Instead, Rio has a VIP forward on the main deck. Interestingly, the megayacht has yet another VIP below deck. Both are full beam, too. Three more staterooms for friends and family all sit below decks as well.

An elevator makes it convenient for them to reach other lounging and entertainment areas onboard the four-deck superyacht. The CRN Rio has a gym and wellness area within her beach club, for instance. And, while the owner’s deck is intended as a private oasis, the owner can still welcome guests to enjoy good conversations and equally good views, out through the picture-window-like panes of glass.
Pulina Exclusive Interiors is seeing the finishing touches go onboard. Two years ago, CRN provided a sneak peek at what Rio would look like inside. Warm, subdued tones and wood soles are just some of what to expect.
Rio will undergo sea trials in the coming weeks, in preparation for delivery in springtime.
