There’s nothing like spending the Christmas and New Year’s holidays on a yacht. Even better, there’s nothing like hosting your own private holiday dance party on the foredeck, with a renowned DJ. The yacht Savannah hosted a big bash like this just before Christmas. Better yet, Feadship filmed it, releasing it on New Year’s Eve to invite the rest of us to the party.
Anchored with Monaco’s famous Port Hercule as the setting, the 274-footer (83.5-meter) treated special guests to terrific lights and sounds. The sounds came courtesy of Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. The duo is among the most in-demand talent at top clubs and festivals worldwide. They’ve further earned renown for having incredible energy and spinning tribal-house-influenced music.
While the music and the lights pulsate, guests clearly have a great time. A few dozen of them dance while others enjoy each other’s company around the perimeter of the foredeck. The yacht Savannah has a massive foredeck, in fact, doubling as a regulation-size basketball court.
While the party is pretty cool, something else cool about Savannah ends up being just momentary glimpses. She has a seafoam green metallic paint job. Notably, she is the first superyacht with metallic paint covering essentially every part of her exterior. The only exceptions are the mast domes. The paint further coats the fixed deck furnishings and outdoor ceilings, too. On a related subject, the painting team at Feadship (which delivered Savannah in 2015) needed to spray the paint in one single sweep. Otherwise, the color and finish might not look even.
Turn your own yacht or living room into a cool club by streaming this video to the biggest TV you have. Sunnyer James & Ryan Marciano’s set list goes for about an hour and 20 minutes. If you find yourself dreaming of dancing on an ample foredeck next holiday season, note that the yacht Savannah is for sale.
