Ever since its origins in 1993, JFA Yachts has been in the port of Concarneau in northwestern France. Frederic Jaouen, who co-founded JFA Yachts, grew up mere feet from where the yard premises sit. With his friend Frederic Breuilly, he established the yacht to construct custom yachts, both sail and power. The duo simultaneously focused on refits, whether old or newer yachts. Its Long Island catamaran series of power and sailing yachts has helped it gain more clients worldwide. Still, though, JFA Yachts sees greater potential. Denison Yachting is therefore its new global sales representative for the Long Island brand.

The Long Island yachts include the in-build Long Island 87 Sail and the Long Island 86 Power, along with the Long Island 78, another power project. All are catamarans, too, with lightweight aluminum construction. Their aesthetics, from styling to customizable interiors, and their long-distance capabilities come from Marc Lombard Yacht Design and Darnet Design. The two studios have been longtime JFA Yachts collaborators, too.

Initially, Denison Yachting will focus on the modest superyachts to 100 feet (30.5 meters). David Johnson, the U.S. representative for JFA Yachts at Denison Yachting, notes that a Long Island 85 Power and the Long Island 87 Sail are both set for delivery this year. “I’m proud to promote a shipyard that leads the world in building aluminum-hulled sailing and power catamarans,” he says. He adds that they’re “purpose-built for owners seeking to explore the most remote parts of the world.”

For his part, Jaouen is looking forward to what’s to come as well. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our values, and we believe it is destined for great success as we work together to offer the finest sail and power catamarans to clients around the globe,” he asserts.
