The coin ceremony is one of the most highly anticipated moments in a yacht’s construction. The welding of this coin to the first steel components of the yacht Project Dream took place on June 4.
The ceremony occurred at Tankoa Yachts’ Civitavecchia shipyard, near Rome, about one year after the contract signing. The 200-footer (61-meter) is an entirely custom megayacht that, judging from the few known details so far, will be quite the entertainer. In fact, she’s prioritizing a high level of alfresco enjoyment as well as relaxation. The sundeck aboard the yacht Project Dream, for example, is much larger than typical for her size. It makes sense, however, upon realizing that the owner intends it to be the place where he, family, and friends spend the majority of their time. Among the features, the deck has dedicated areas for stretching out to catch some rays, along with a nice-size pool.

The sundeck pool is one of three pools aboard, in fact. Guests enjoying the aft portion of the bridge deck can enjoy great views from pool number two. On a related note, this general area transforms into a cinema under the stars. Pool number three, meanwhile, is solely for the owner to enjoy on the upper deck, one level up from the main deck. It’s part of a private area accessible from his apartment-like suite.
This type of indoor-outdoor connectivity is currently popular across the superyacht size spectrum. It characterizes the yacht Project Dream, too. Horacio Bozzo Design ensured that it was a big part of the yacht’s overall concept from the start and evident in the styling and layout. Expect interior lounges to continue out to exterior ones, for example. Along these lines, also expect fold-down terraces to open up the extraordinarily ample beach club even more.

Other highlights of the yacht Project Dream include guest accommodations on the main deck and a wellness area leading directly to the beach area. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is working with the owner to ensure the wellness area is incredibly relaxing, featuring a sauna, a massage and beauty area, and a gym.
While no further details are available about the amenities or design, Tankoa Yachts does say volume should rival that of a 229-footer (70-meter). It plans to deliver the yacht in 2029.
