Even with five megayachts currently under construction, Bilgin Yachts has room for one more, its own creation. Between her length, volume, and perennially popular general arrangement, the Bilgin 50M could turn the head of a buyer seeking a quick delivery.
While the Turkish shipyard previously has built yachts with customers, it also has a history of on-spec projects. An example of the former, for instance, is Lilium, which just saw delivery earlier this year. A good example of a spec build that found a customer is Starburst III, which the shipyard launched and completed as Nerissa.
The Bilgin 50M features the same naval-architecture studio as those yachts, namely Unique Yacht Design. Unlike Lilium and Starburst III, though, she has some styling details all her own. The most noticeable one for this four-deck-high megayacht is her plumb bow. But, nearly vertical bows are a current trend.
Also keeping with current desires, the Bilgin 50M offers multiple social spaces, with full-height glass brightening interior areas. Guests can enjoy the ambience in the main saloon or skylounge, with the skylounge additionally including a bar. Arguably the most popular alfresco social area will be the sundeck. U-shaped seating, sunpads, and a hot tub are the primary suggested features.
The eventual owners will be able to personalize every area, of course. If they want guests to feel extra special, they might consider giving each of the five guest staterooms a different decor. All five sit below decks, though the VIP is the prize, spanning the full 30-foot (9.2-meter) beam.
Naturally, the master suite spans the full beam, too, on the main deck. It encompasses about 646 square feet (60 square meters). While some superyacht shipyards’ spec projects feature larger owners’ suites, if you plan to spend most of your day elsewhere onboard, you won’t feel you’re missing anything.
Besides all these, the Bilgin 50M incorporates what has become a signature feature of its projects. The central stairway, spiraling throughout the yacht, is topped by a skylight, which is actually the glass bottom of the hot tub on the sundeck. In addition, a glass elevator will rise through the center of the stairway.
With a volume of 460 tons, the Bilgin 50M will also offer transatlantic range. The shipyard anticipates upwards of 5,000 nautical miles at her most efficient speed, a few knots less than her 16-knot maximum speed.
