Set to be one of the fastest megayachts of her size, the first hull in the ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO series splashed in Ancona, Italy yesterday. Likening her to a “sporty designed 30-meter silver arrow,” the shipyard says she’ll see 50 knots when sea trials start.
Having started construction on the project in 2019, ISA created the series with Marco Casali of Marco Casali – Too Design for the styling and naval architecture. Together, they wanted to combine the style and performance of an open yacht with the benefits of advanced composites. The Super Sportivo 100 GTO therefore features fiberglass with carbon fiber as well as Kevlar. Each of the latter further saves weight and enhances strength.
The silver paint job emphasizes her dramatic angles. These include the high, V-shape bow and the plunging lines of her superstructure aft. So, too, does it draw attention to her ample alfresco areas, especially forward. The big air intakes above the hardtop, meanwhile, draw attention to her black superstructure.
Speaking of open, while the 22-foot-beam (6.83-meter-beam) main deck appears enclosed, it actually has sliding glass panels in the hardtop. Guests seated inside, or in the cockpit, remain protected from the wind when the megayacht is at speed.
The triple-engine ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO, fitted with 2,000-hp MANs, will make her global boat-show debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Future models are available with a choice of three to five staterooms. (ISA Yachts has not revealed how many staterooms the owner of hull number one requested, though the yacht likely accommodates eight guests.). In the three- and four-cabin versions, you gain a second saloon-like area below decks, ideal for movie watching or using as a library/study.
Additionally note that larger yachts are available in the series. Specifically, ISA has 12-foot and 141-foot Super Sportivo models.
