Codecasa has seen strong success over the years with its 141-foot (43-meter) Codecasa 43 series. This is why the shipyard has started the simply named Codecasa C124, her hull number, on spec.
Five previous Codecasa 43 megayachts are already on the water, including one for Italian media entrepreneur Pier Silvo Berlusconi. Featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the yacht is an entirely in-house design. Notable styling features include a plumb bow and traditional lines, for instance, along with ever-important large windows lining the decks.
Inside the trideck, meanwhile, the shipyard is planning accommodations for a party of 10. Naturally, the owners’ suite sits forward on the main deck. This makes good use of the 29’5” (9-meter) beam, too. Four guest suites for eight people sit below decks, as do four twin cabins for crew. Of course, when buyers step into the project, C124 can have a Pullman berth or two in the guest staterooms, if so desired. Owners of previously delivered Codecasa 43s have done this.
Overall, the general layout is pretty traditional, in keeping with the exterior styling. A main saloon and skylounge therefore offer the owners and guests places to unwind during the day or night. Additionally, the crew gets dedicated stairways for accessing the three decks.
Codecasa C124, which has an overall volume just under 500 gross tons, will be capable of transatlantic crossings and therefore taking owners and guests on a variety of adventures. Anticipate her having a range of 4,000 nautical miles while cruising at 11 knots. Top speed with the twin Caterpillar engines should be 16 knots at light displacement. Finally, even with a steel hull, she has a draft of 8’5” (2.6 meters), making her reasonably capable of accessing some shallower regions.
Since construction has already started, Codecasa C124 can see delivery as early as the summer of 2024.
