The highest-rated show on the Bravo television network, Below Deck Mediterranean, returns for season seven in July. It’s doing so with a new “face” at the center of the action and melodrama, too. The 163-foot (49.8-meter) superyacht Home is as much a star as the human cast.
If you’re unfamiliar with Below Deck Mediterranean, it’s a reality show, part of a franchise following the lives of superyacht crew aboard charter yachts. Each episode features new guests, who of course present new challenges and engage in over-the-top antics. Simultaneously, the goings-on in the crew quarters and among the crew on their nights are the unscripted focus.
While several yachts have appeared in the Below Deck franchise since 2013, the superyacht Home is making her small-screen debut. Filming took place in Malta last year, a first for the show. The location was a first for Capt. Sandy Yawn, too, a longtime superyacht captain who has helmed each yacht in the Med since the first season.
Though Bravo has released primarily on-deck and below-deck footage, you’ll see the superyacht Home’s leisure spaces throughout the series. Firstly, you’ll see the interior design by Cristiano Gatto’s studio, where abundant white and light-reflective materials create a beach-chic ambience. Dark-wood soles in the saloon and teak decking in the skylounge accentuate the feel as well. A party of 12 guests further can enjoy alfresco dining on a few decks, along with sunning. A bar and a hot tub beckon on the sundeck, as do toys stowed on the foredeck.
Below Deck Mediterranean season seven premieres on July 11 on Bravo. The Peacock streaming network, though, is showing subscribers all episodes one week earlier, starting July 4.
On yet another note, Home is for sale, for €29.5 million (approximately $31.3 million at press time). She also is available for charter.
