The fitting-out stage has begun for the somewhat confidential Feadship yacht Project 825, with the numeral designating her hull number. Tugs towed her along the picturesque Dutch canals to the shed at Feadship’s La Kaag shipyard. She’ll remain there until her delivery date toward the end of 2024.
At nearly 249 feet (76 meters), the megayacht rises four decks high. Featuring styling and naval architecture by Feadship’s De Voogt studio, the yacht Project 825 has several features you’d expect to see. For instance, a touch-and-go helipad sits forward on one deck. That deck happens to be the owners’ deck, with their stateroom just several feet away. Of course, the suite faces forward, to take advantage of the views every morning. However, sliding glass doors in the owners’ lounge aft of the bedroom lead outside, too. Back here, the owners have a private dining area, with shade from the deck above. The owners further have a hot tub outside forward, in yet another private area.
Since pools are pretty popular, it probably won’t surprise you to learn one is atop the beach club. It has a glass bottom, too. Meanwhile, the beach club has fold-down platforms to each side for a more open and airy feel.
Speaking of airy, the spa aboard should look and feel this way as well. It sits up on the bridge deck and contains a gym facing aft. Workouts can be indoors, with air conditioning, or indoor-outdoor, since three sides open up. Post-workout, guests can soak in a hot tub out on deck, or decide which sun lounger nearby will be theirs for the afternoon.
A total of 10 friends and family can accompany the owners on voyages. Most staterooms naturally are below decks. In fact, they include a convertible cabin, along with more traditional staterooms. The VIP stateroom, meanwhile, rivals the master aboard some megayachts. Specifically, it runs across the yacht’s full beam, sitting forward on the main deck. Furthermore, it has its own lounge, along with a private balcony.
Conveniently, it’s on the same deck as the main social hub. After delivery, the owners of the Feadship yacht Project 825 intend to enjoy a big aft-deck pool with a bar in proximity. When indoor entertainment is the preference, the party can head forward to the games room.
Although information on the woods and stones making up the décor remain confidential, the Feadship yacht Project 825 should look impressive inside. It’s because the interior design comes from the same studio behind the Baccarat Hotel in New York.
