The fifth hull in Silver Yachts’ Silver Series has construction underway in Australia. Revealed in 2021 as a concept design with the series’ characteristic sharp appeal, the Silver Edge yacht project is actively for sale, since she’s in build on spec.
Espen Øino’s studio is handling styling, as it did for the rest of the Silver Series yachts—namely, Bold, Dragonfly (the ex-Silver Zwei), and Silver Fast. The 261-footer (79.5-meter) also has in-house naval architecture like her sisters, with a similarly slim hull. In fact, she bears just 33 feet (10 meters) of beam. She additionally has a performance-oriented hull, for good speeds yet also relatively moderate fuel burn. All-aluminum construction aids in this regard, too. According to Silver Yachts, a hybrid propulsion system will be onboard; it hasn’t released details, however. Regardless, Fraser Yachts, which holds the central sales agency, says the Silver Edge project should see a 5,000-nautical-mile range at 14 knots.
With accommodations for 18, the Silver Edge yacht project also has Piredda & Partners providing the interior design. Nicolò Piredda, the studio’s managing and creative director, says the ambience “will proudly stand from the crowd for flawless details and refined materials.” Buyers have enough time before delivery to tailor every space accordingly.
As for the spaces, the superyacht boasts a 1,022-square-foot (95-square-meter) master suite. Three VIP suites and four double staterooms take care of friends and family. Other possibilities include a winter garden aft on the main deck rather than a formal dining area, as a more frequently enjoyable and usable room. Outside, meanwhile, Silver Edge can have a touch-and-go helipad and a nearly 17-foot (5-meter) glass-bottomed pool. Her sundeck can be a day-to-night deck as well, with a hot tub, sunpads, and a partially shaded dining area.
Finally, for off-the-yacht fun, the megayacht makes abundant space available to stow an armada of watertoys. In fact, Fraser Yachts is selling her equipped with a 23-foot (7-meter) RIB, several PWCs, and much more.
The listing price is $75 million (about €68.5 million at press time). Completion is set for 2026.
