Capable of carrying a submersible for discoveries beneath the surface as much as above, the Admiral Adventure 50m yacht doesn’t look like an explorer. That’s partially the point. Unconventional designs have become somewhat of a hallmark of Admiral Yachts’ parent company, The Italian Sea Group. Like its previous projects, it’s striving to bring a different perspective to a niche within custom yacht design and construction.
One of three new concepts that The Italian Sea Group revealed last year, the proposal initially had just a few public details. Admiral is now revealing more about the design, entirely from its in-house studio. In anticipation that potential buyers may have differing dream destinations, a variety of configurations are available. For instance, the elongated aft deck aboard the Admiral Adventure 50m yacht can follow current trends of serving as a massive open-air beach club. Another option, an open-air beach club with tender stowage (below). A large pool can be its centerpiece, too, although not as you might expect. Instead, it sits elevated (above), an aerie further for taking in unobstructed views. With or without the pool, the sides of the aft deck additionally can fold down. This should ease launching the sub and other tenders if present, plus make the deck area a multi-functional sunning, lounging, and toy-boarding area.
Yet another unexpected alfresco possibility is an open-sided lounge in the bow (below). Stairs lead down from the elevated portion of the foredeck, which is part of the owners’ private domain. The area, with a glass-bottomed pool, is accessible from the master suite just aft.
At 164 feet and 499 gross tons, the Admiral Adventure 50m yacht emphasizes luxury amenities throughout the interior. Just as some of the possible on-deck features are unexpected, striking arrangements await on different decks. Particularly noteworthy, three VIP suites among the five guest staterooms are on the main deck. Rarely are guest staterooms on the main deck in this size range. Furthermore, one of the three VIPs has a private alfresco area, accessible via cantilevered windows.
To keep with the notion of exploring, The Italian Sea Group has planned a touch-and-go helipad aft on the uppermost deck.
Since the intention is to begin construction on contract, the builder will tailor the design and systems to clients’ preferences.
