A relationship that began three years ago has led to Mulder Shipyard officially establishing an American sales office. The Dutch superyacht shipyard has launched Mulder USA by joining forces with Luxury Yacht Group, a yacht brokerage and management firm.
The family-run Mulder Shipyard, which dates to 1938, first became acquainted with Luxury Yacht Group three years ago. It was specifically thanks to the client who commissioned the yacht Solemates, a Mulder ThirtySix. The 118-footer (pictured), which saw delivery in 2022, has a strong focus on family time together. She proved not only the success of the Mulder ThirtySix series—she was hull number six—but also interest among American yacht buyers.
Rupert Connor, Luxury Yacht Group’s CEO, will lead Mulder USA. The office will handle sales, yacht management, crew services, and overall customer support. Among the sales, it will be promoting the latest Mulder ThirtySix, with an enhanced interior décor. The megayacht, hull number eight in the series, is under construction on spec.
“I have long admired Mulder Shipyard for their remarkable craftsmanship and innovative approach,” Connor says. “I am excited to bring their yachts, known for impeccable design and quality, to a discerning U.S. clientele.”
Nick Mulder, Mulder Shipyard’s CEO—and the third generation operating the yard—shares Connor’s enthusiasm. He says Connor possesses “profound knowledge of the U.S. market, combined with a commitment to excellence.” He adds, “Together, we are poised to continue our legacy of crafting exceptional yachts while reaching new clients across the Americas.”
Mulder USA will be at next week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
